Accept Christ

You are making the best decision of your life today! The Bible says in Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” It is our privilege and honor to pray with you to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You are His beloved child and the great heart of God is here right now to provide this gift of salvation. In knowing God, trusting Him and believing His Word, you will be restored to all that He originally intended for you.

After you pray with us today, please let JDOM know that you have made this decision. Then you will want to do the following things right away:

* Get a Bible in a version that reads easily and that you can understand. Start by reading the chapter of John.

* Growing in your Christian faith will be important, so find a church in your area that believes that God’s miracles have not passed away. It is good to remember that churches are made of people and like your own family they will not be perfect. Find a church where the fullness of the Word of God is preached and make friends there. You are not alone!

We believe that receiving Christ as Savior and praying for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit can be received at the same time. The gift of salvation is free, but you must make the decision to receive God’s promise of a restored life here and life everlasting with Him. So let’s pray!

Just repeat the following prayers. Say them out loud. It will help you to remember the decision that you are making today. Also, know that the Lord Himself is with you and that Heaven hears you:

Prayer for Salvation

“Lord Jesus, I want to know you. You said in your Word in Romans 10:9 that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, I will be saved, and I want to make that confession today. I ask you to forgive me of the things that I have done wrong in my life. I ask you to forgive me for what I have done to myself and others. In asking you to forgive me Lord, I choose to forgive all those that have hurt me or committed sin against me. I believe, this day, that you took that punishment of separation, sin and death from me. I believe in your death, burial and resurrection. I believe and I receive the promise of your salvation today and that my relationship with you, with God the Father and with the Holy Spirit has been restored. I believe I am your child. ”

Prayer for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

“Lord Jesus, having received the promise and gift of salvation, I ask you now that I can receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as promised in Acts Chapter 2:38 –“And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” I receive the intimacy, ministry and empowerment of the Holy Spirit as part of the promise of salvation and my inheritance in Christ. Thank you Lord Jesus!”

Congratulations! Now we realize that you will have lots to learn to truly come into an understanding of what it means to be in relationship with the Lord. However, Jesus is Alive! Through His Holy Spirit, He will lead you and guide you into all truth. He will love you with an everlasting love and He will help you to grow. God bless you! We will be praying for you.
